About The Project

A 1932 Georgian brought back from severe disrepair into a restored Colonial Revival residence.

This historic 1932 Georgian home in Hancock Park had fallen into severe disrepair prior to acquisition. Previously a hoarder-occupied property, it required extensive interior clearing before any work could begin. Grade completed a full gut renovation, reworking the floor plan and modernizing the interiors while preserving the original architectural character.

The plan was opened where it needed to be and left alone where the original detailing earned its place. Steel-framed doors and windows bring light deep into the main rooms and connect them to the grounds, while the traditional mouldings, proportions and symmetry that define the house were retained rather than replaced.

Today the home stands as a restored Colonial Revival residence overlooking the Wilshire Country Club, blending traditional detailing with open, livable spaces — 3,428 square feet with four bedrooms and four baths on a 7,618 square foot lot.
